I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Montpellier in 2015. Subsequently, I pursued both my Bachelor Honours and Master’s degrees at Stellenbosch University, with a focus on the Greater Congo Craton. During my Bachelor Honours year in 2019, I conducted research on the petrography and geochemistry of TTGs and high-K granites within the Kasai block of the Democratic Republic of Congo. For my Master’s degree, I expanded my expertise on the Greater Congo Craton by conducting a petrologic survey of the Ntem-Chaillu block within the Republic of Congo.
Following the completion of my Master’s degree in 2023, I commenced my PhD studies at Curtin University in 2024. My PhD research is centered on investigating the P-T-t history of eclogites, whiteschist, and high-pressure granulites within Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. These rocks are situated along sutures involved in the Gondwana amalgamation between the Greater Congo and Kalahari cratons. By employing petrological investigations in conjunction with zircon and rutile thermobarometry and geochronology, my aim is to uncover the burial and exhumation conditions of these rocks. Ultimately, this research could yield new insights into the assembly of Gondwana in southern Africa.
